With that wisdom, acting upon instructions from an entertainment company, in 1994, the two founders started developing a program that would help the artists with that. The entertainment company used the program intensively for several years, where one of the founders was active as a DJ himself. When 4 years later the need arose there to, as it were, "share" the program so that artists and booking agencies could co-operate, the idea of BookYou was born.



Due to the increase of the number of bookings and therefore the rising work pressure they also examined the efficiency of the conventional way of booking. 
With several handy tools there has been found a way in which a lot of actions in the booking process were automated, so that eventually the time pressure was decreased.
 

The entertainment branch grows rapidly and changes continuously. Artists have to distinguish themselves to obtain a prominent place in the market. Fame within such a network is thereby essential. Social Media has become even more important for artists, but also very time-consuming. Besides that, due to the raise of the VAT rate, the booking of entertainment became substantially more expensive. This makes it even more important for artists to handle an efficient sales stategy.
